About Us
We are Amber and Sarah Jane. We are ELT (English Language Teaching) professionals. We are excited about empowering and supporting those working in the field of language teaching and teacher training.
Sarah Jane
I began my ELT career teaching English in South Korea in 2005. After several years I returned to Canada to pursue an opportunity to expand my professional portfolio with teacher training, language assessment, and materials development work. Currently, I work as an instructor in the TESOL and MA TESOL programs at Trinity Western University and develop materials and curriculum for a number of contexts including training and supporting multi-lingual English teachers in North Korea, China, and Mongolia. I enjoy using my professional skills personal giftings to contribute to what is going on in our local and global community. I am also as a wife, mom and passionate bread maker, and when I’m not working, you’ll find me treasure hunting in thrift stores and garage sales.
Amber
I have been working in the field of ELT (English Language Teaching) for the past fifteen years. In that time, I have had many exciting and unique opportunities to teach English and train teachers in a variety of contexts and countries including Canada, Japan, Mexico, Bolivia, China, Mongolia, and the DPRK. Other opportunities I have had include working as a CLBPT (Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test) assessor, an assistant professor of TESOL in college and university programs, and a materials writer. What motivates me the most in my work is seeing teachers grow and develop a deeper confidence and passion in their roles in the field of language teaching. Outside of work I love to try out new cafes, wander through vintage antique shops, and spend time exploring new hiking trails in Alberta with my husband.
