45 Language Tasks to Accompany English Camp Excursions
This package includes forty-five individual tasks designed for an English summer camp program in Vancouver, BC and four other centres in Canada. These tasks link weekly excursions to curricular learning objectives by providing English practice related to the language functions experienced on the excursions. Some example of excursions include trips to amusement parks, museum tours, and outings to restaurants.
Each Task Includes:
- addresses three proficiency levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced)
- incorporates pre, during and post exercises
- includes handouts for students and applicable answer keys and rubrics
- links specific language objectives to excursion experiences
- focusses on cultural awareness and personal development
- ensures fun, interactive learning and authentic language production
